Suitability Analysis Maps
Suitability Analysis:
- inventory maps are ranked according to their response to development
- rules for combining maps assign suitabilities to sets of criteria
- series of ranked thematic maps are combined to create output suitability maps
- constraints for land uses form key component of analysis
Output is series of maps:
- one for each land use or development type
- illustrate which level of suitability characterizes each parcel of land for each development type
List of suitability maps:
- environmental suitability
- on-site services suitability
- central services suitability
- residential suitability (legend and section shown)
