Suitability Analysis Maps

Suitability Analysis:

• inventory maps are ranked according to their response to development
• rules for combining maps assign suitabilities to sets of criteria
• series of ranked thematic maps are combined to create output suitability maps
• constraints for land uses form key component of analysis

Output is series of maps:

• one for each land use or development type
• illustrate which level of suitability characterizes each parcel of land for each development type

List of suitability maps:

• environmental suitability
• on-site services suitability
• central services suitability
