Jack Allston Memorial Award

Newfoundland & Labrador Branch

The Newfoundland & Labrador Branch is pleased to announce a new award, to be presented annually to a reporter or news media outlet in recognition of excellent media coverage of local or provincial planning issues, in print or electronic media (newspapers, radio, television, Internet, or other). This can include land-use planning, rezonings, heritage planning, environmental planning, park planning, public consultation, and other aspects of planning that have a bearing on our communities.  [more]

Remembering Col. Jack T. Allston

Jack Allston was a founding member of the Atlantic Planners Institute and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planners.  We thank the Globe and Mail and the family for giving API permission to post Col. Allston's obituary

Remembering Craig Lawrence

Craig Lawrence was a Dalhousie Planning graduate and a dear friend to many in the profession.  His death in February 2008 left his colleagues saddened. Obituary  MacLean's notice.

Remembering Dimitri Procos

Remembering Ed Kaufhold

Ed was an active member for over 18 years with the Atlantic Planners Institute (API) – Newfoundland and Labrador Branch. He served as President for 3 years, Treasurer for 5 years and Membership Co-ordinator for 10 years. Obituary
